  • Cigarette butts are one of the top three items picked up at beach cleanups
  • Cigarette butts are not biodegradable and contain many toxins
  • Secondhand smoke is one of the leading causes of cancer, containing over 4,000 carcinogens

 Cigarette butts on the street end up in our waterways.

On April 18th, 2009 over 14,000 cigarette butts picked up in two hours!!!!
